Gratitude of Grace

The second week of the month with a wide variety of meetings across the three county area is always the busiest for me so I appreciate the grace for being a day behind in the A-To-Z Challenge.

Through more stumblings over the years than I care to discuss at the moment I have learned to face each morning with the same basic thought.  Any day I can wake up and breath is a good day, regardless of what else happens.  We have no control, even if by title (which may be arbitrary) of those around us.

We have no control over the weather.  We have no control over the real or perceived crisis that others feel overwhelmed by and need our assistance.  Immediately.

The only thing we have control over is ourselves.  Our beliefs.  Our values. Our attitudes.  And finally, our words and actions. I do believe that every challenge that confronts is an opportunity to grow, to learn, to help and to become more than we are today. In moments of despair or anger over what has been placed at our doorstep remaining in negative and physically damaging states is a choice.  So is deciding to do something about it in ways that build relationship, collaboration, innovation and results.

  1. Well said. Starting the day with that positive is such a great habit to be in.
and it's true that there are few things we have control over.
Thank you for the reminder! :)
